Haha Mango-Panda (born September 12, 2015) was an American football. He played college football for University of Notre Dame (ND) and declared for the draft after his Junior year. In the DSFL, Haha Mango-Panda was selected 74th Overall by the Dallas Birddogs.

Early years

Haha Mango-Panda was born to Judy and Mac Mango-Panda in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Haha lived on the south side of Chicago his entire life. His father left early on when Haha was 4 years old. Judy raised him as a single mother, she worked multiple jobs and struggled. Along side Haha he had two brothers and two step-sisters. Haha is the oldest of five and would help his mother out anyway he can.

Life on the streets of Chicago is rough. Drugs and violence everywhere. And Haha would use football as a distraction. during his days in PeeWee football he grew his talent as a athlete and quarterback. During that time he was recruited to a private school in Chicago to play football. Haha became the starting quarterback for St.Rita High School. As his talents grew, so did the wins during his high school season. Eventually, St.Rita won multiple state championships during Haha's career.

College career

From age 13, Haha only wanted to play for one school. And received his offer from the University of Notre Dame.

Freshman Season

Before the 2033 Notre Dame Campaign began, Haha instantly caught the eye of the head coach and his teammates. This shot up his stock to become a starter. The first game during the year was rough. Notre Dame fell to Michigan 10-27, as Haha only threw 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. The theme would be set for the rest of the season. Notre Dame would fall to 3-8.

Sophomore Season

Haha improved drastically in the 2034 Season. Haha put up a 2271 yards and 16 touchdowns while keeping his interception numbers down to 5. The Fighting Irish, lead to a hot start going 5-0. But would ultimately go 9-2. Haha led the Irish to a 35-17 win over LSU in the Yodel Kid Memorial Bowl.

Junior Season

2035 Season was the best season yet. Haha threw for over 3000 yards and 20 touchdowns with only 6 interceptions. Notre Dame went 10-1 with Haha starting all 10 wins. But Haha broke his throwing hand and the quarterback and had to sit out the rest of the season. Notre Dame lost the first college playoff game to Georgia.

Senior Season

Since the hand break, Haha skipped out on his senior of college football. He took the off season on recovery and will try to make it to the NSFL.

Professional career

Currently, Haha was selected 74th overall in the S21 DSFL draft by the Dallas Birddogs. Previous GM, Gucci, asked Haha Mango-Panda to switch positions from quarterback to linebacker. Without hesitation the young player started working hard on becoming a linebacker.

Transition to Linebacker

The transition was rough for Haha, he had to gain a ton of weight and has to learn defensive techniques such as coverage and block shedding. While working out, Haha increased his overall strength and speed that will help him in his first season. Throughout the season, Haha became a Speed rusher and nickel coverage linebacker for the Birddogs, ultimately becoming the fastest linebacker in the season 22 NSFL draft class and helping bolster the Dallas Defense.

DSFL (2036-2037)

Haha started as a coverage linebacker for the Birddogs. And has contributed to the inaugural season of Dallas, to which the Birddogs fell into a 5-9 record. In better news, the defensive unit of the Birddogs was one of the best in the DSFLand Haha helped contribute with an amazing 106 Tackles and 4 Pass deflections. Not an easy task considering he made the switch to linebacker. In addition, he also recorded a blocked punt against Myrtle Beach Buccaneers, which helped inspired a comeback shot for the playoffs. As a nickle linebacker, the linebacker didn't see much of sacks or tackles for losses, those were for more of his teammates, Bayley and Koniecpolski. He was assigned to clean up any missed or holes that would develop in the defense. As of 2036, he is one of the top linebackers in the class and could play down for another year at Dallas.

NSFL

After a solid transition and great play from Quarterback to Linebacker while playing with the Birddogs. Haha Mango-Panda was projected by some mock drafters to go in the 2nd round and fall into the laps of Orange County Otters, Austin Copperheads and the Honolulu Hahalua. But to the surprise to Haha and some mockers, the new expansion team Sarasota Sailfish drafted him with their 26th pick (3rd round 2nd pick).

2037

With the beginning of the 2037 campaign, Haha Mango-Panda found himself as the starting middle linebacker for the Sailfish defense. The season started out hot with their first win of the franchise and where Haha lead the defense. The campaign continued with Haha getting more familiar with the role and the speed of the NSFL. The growth started to show up in the later games with the Sailfish. With the growth of the team during the season, the Sailfish made the playoffs in their inaugural year. Haha contributed to the success for the expansion team and the Sailfish became a successful team in terms of expansion teams where they had a 6-7 record. The Sailfish did end up getting eliminated by the eventual champions the Colorado Yeti where Haha lead the team in tackles. Haha did not manage to get nominated for a trophy at the end of the season. Even tho, he did have some impressive stats. He ended up with 113 tackles, which for a rookie is a great stats and ended up with his first career sack since becoming a linebacker. In terms of rookies, he was 2nd to none other his teammate from Dallas, Koniecpolski.

2038

With the start of the 2038 season, Haha Mango-Panda tried to over come the sophomore slump that can plague young players and beat out the production of his rookie year. This is the first season that extended the number of games to 16. The season went well for the team overall, the Sarasota Sailfish did go 8-8 which beats their previous record but failed to make the playoffs for the first time in their history. They did suffer tough loses over the Colorado Yeti and Yellowknife Wraiths, which was teh edge they needed to move on. The first notably game that Haha performed well is Week 2 against the Wraiths. He did manage to record 15 tackles, which is the most in the game but the Sailfish did end up losing the game. Another game that Haha did well in is Week 5 against the Hawks, he recorded 14 tackles for the game. Another notably game came in week 10 against the New Orleans Secondline, where he recorded his first professional interception since becoming a linebacker. A game that showed the greatness of Haha was around week 12, he was announced defensive players of the game, where he recorded 8 tackles, 1 interception and a sack. Last game that was notable for Haha, was week 16, he was awarded another defensive player of the game and recorded 8 tackles with a sack. Overall, the season 23 campaign went well for the young player and as a reward Haha was voted into the Pro Bowl for the first time. With his performance at the end of the season, Haha signed an contract extension with the Sailfish.

2039

Great play from previous years, the Sailfish signed the linebacker to a 3 year extension before the season 24 began. The team was committed and Haha was committed to the team. Haha, proved to the team and the league that he is one of the superstars of the league. The campaign started off strong for the Sailfish, they started the year 6-0 with a championship caliber defense led by none other than Haha. The week one game against the Baltimore Hawks, Haha racked up 3 sacks, 9 tackles, 1 interception, and a forced fumble. He was the defensive player of the week. There was talk of Haha getting MVP at the time. But sadly it was gone once that moment passed with the first loss against the New Orleans Secondline. His stats started to plateau off when his teammate Big Edd started to eat up some of the stats. But it did not worry him since the Sailfish were projected to be up and up. For the first time in team history, the Sailfish had a winning record and another first was they won a playoffs game. Haha had great stats throughout the year notable was his 10 sacks, 3 interceptions and 20 pass deflections. He was nominated for awards such as: Linebacker of the year, Defensive game of the year and Defensive player of the year. He didn’t win any of those but since this is his first great season he did manage to snag the Defensive breakout player of the year for season 24. In the end, the Sailfish did lose to the Colorado Yeti in the Conference finals but the future looks super bright for the team.
